Privacy Policy

VerifyAI ("we", "us") provides tools to check whether photos, videos, audio, text and documents were made or changed by AI. This policy explains what data we handle and why.

What we collect

• Account details: your email address and name when you create an account (including Google sign-in).
• Files you check: files uploaded to a workspace are stored securely with their fingerprint (SHA-256), results and a history log so certificates can be verified later.
• Free checks (no account): files are analysed and then discarded — they are not stored. We keep a one-way scrambled version of your IP address for up to 24 hours to limit abuse.
• Capture links: photos taken through a capture link and the email address you send the link to.
• Usage data: basic, anonymous visit statistics (pages viewed, device type, country).

How we use it

• To run the checks you ask for and show the results.
• To issue and verify certificates.
• To keep the service secure and prevent abuse.

We do not sell your data and do not use your files to advertise to you.

AI processing

To produce a result, file content is sent to third-party AI models over an encrypted connection. They process the content only to return a result to us.

Sharing

We share data only with service providers that host and run VerifyAI (hosting, database, AI processing), or when required by law. Members of your workspace can see the workspace's checks.

Retention and deletion

Workspace data is kept until you delete it or close your account. You can request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by emailing privacy@goverifyai.com. We complete deletion within 30 days.

Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example under GDPR or CCPA), you can ask to access, correct, export or delete your data, or object to its processing. Contact us at the address below.

Children

VerifyAI is not intended for children under 13 (or 16 in the EU), and we do not knowingly collect their data.

Changes

We may update this policy. We will change the date above and, for important changes, notify account holders by email.
