What this checker looks at
Sentence-level highlighting
The exact passages that read as AI-written are marked in the student's original text, so you can see the reasoning behind the score.
Whole-class batch checks
In a free workspace, drop a whole class of essays at once and get one list with a result for each paper.
“Needs a conversation”, not “guilty”
Mixed results land in Manual Review instead of a hard verdict. Text detectors can wrongly flag non-native speakers and very polished writers.
Tamper-evident record
Each check records the file's SHA-256 fingerprint and time, so you and the student can confirm exactly which version was reviewed.
How to use it
- 1
Drop the essay as PDF, TXT or Markdown above — or, for a whole class, create a free workspace and upload all papers at once.
- 2
Read the highlighted sentences. Skip quotes, citations and the bibliography — they are not the student's own prose.
- 3
Compare with the student's earlier work, drafts and version history before drawing any conclusion.
- 4
If concerns remain, talk with the student and use the saved report as a starting point, never as sole proof.
Questions
No detector, including ours, should be the only evidence for an academic misconduct finding. Use it to decide which papers deserve a closer look and a conversation.
